Description:

As a member of the Canadian Business Unit, the Journeyman Mechanic will report directly to the Shop Foreman - Fabrication & Maintenance. This position is available in the Red Deer and Professional Park (Calgary) district locations. The primary function of the Journeyman Mechanic will be to gain a thorough working knowledge of all components used on Sanjel equipment, showing particular focus on pumps, coiled tubing injectors and (MPCTU) compressors. *Note that experience with heavy duty machinery and equipment is necessary.

General Responsibilities:

• Gain working knowledge of Sanjel's equipment
• Check equipment for proper performance
• Inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions and diagnose to determine extent of repair required
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment

Qualifications:

• Alberta Journeyman or equivalent
• CVIP License is an asset
• Mechanical training in the oilfield industry is an asset
• Thorough safety knowledge and practice
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems
• Electrical wiring capabilities
• Understanding of fabrication
