    • An Experienced Diesel Technician/Mechanic is needed to perform the following repairs and maintenance on a Fleet of Transit Buses for our client in Williamsburg, VA:

      Performs skilled repair and maintenance on a variety of gasoline, diesel powered buses, and vehicles such as replacing bearings, axle seals, brake master cylinders, replacing brake drums and rotors, etc.

      Disassembles components, inspects parts for wear, repairs, overhauls, replaces and rebuilds water and fuel pumps, air conditioning components, compressors, radiators, etc.

      Rewires electrical systems and replaces, realigns and adjusts brakes and suspension components.

      Diagnoses and repairs malfunction to all vehicle systems, overhauls, tunes, and repairs gasoline, diesel and alternative fueled engines.

      Repairs and maintains hydraulic systems.

      Routes and replaces hydraulic lines and checks system for leaks and proper operation.

      Performs routine vehicle and equipment preventive maintenance inspections checking and replaces fluids, checks lights and other electrical system components, etc.

      Replaces exhaust system components.

      Performs all other job related duties as assigned.

    • Requirements:
    • 3+ years of mechanic experience is required (transit bus experience is preferred); A valid Class B CDL is required; VA State Inspectors License is a plus; ASE Certifications are preferred; Must provide a basic set of tools and a pair of steel toe boots.
