Chemical Technician I
The Chemical Technician is responsible for gathering and processing analytical data for unconventional hydrocarbon experiments.
Responsibilities:
Ensures all Workplace Safety, Environmental and National Safety Code Policies and Regulations are being adhered to
Assists in sample preparation to established CBMS standards
Assists in core-handling and preparation
Makes & enter desorption measurements
Completes training on analytical equipment for unconventional projects
Runs, under supervision, all standard analytical lab equipment
General lab housekeeping
Potentials field technician duties
Experience & Skills:
Technical Diploma in Chemistry or equivalent experience
Minimum 1 year experience in the lab or equivalent
Valid Class 5 license. Fewer than 6 demerit points
Effective interpersonal skills (spoken and written communication)
Proficiency in computer programs in the Microsoft Office suite
