Job Description:
This role will be responsible for providing Systems Analyst (SA) services and support for Devon's asset management processes and applications in Oklahoma City, OK. The overall goal of the SA is to provide operational systems support and participate in the introduction of new functionality through projects and major enhancements.
Strategic:
Understand Devon's long-term asset management strategy; understand technology and data associated with asset management capability area
Work with Enterprise Architecture team to develop and maintain application architectures and blueprints
Work with Technical Architecture team to develop and maintain technical architectures
Practively present recommendations to business on adjustments to strategy, based on technology advancements and/or technical simplification opportunities
Work with U.S. and Canadian Operations and Asset Management organizations to develop long-term applications and technology roadmaps and organize execution strategy year-by-year
Understand the relationship between technology components and identify new technologies to better support organization processes and procedures
Participate in functional and technical feasibility studies for potential solutions
Work with asset management and BI&T management to forecast resource and budget needs to support asset management strategy execution
Assess impact of requirements and design to existing solution applications and technology
Work with SA's from other functional organizations to determine opportunities and impacts to integrated enterprise solution
Executional:
Work with asset management and BI&T organizations to engage appropriate resources in initiatives
Support project managers in the creation of estimates and project plans
Participate in the identification of business requirements (process, functional, technical, organizational)
Map requirements to available technical solutions and perform fit/gap analysis
Assess impact of requirements and design to existing solution technology
Work with SA's from other organizations to determine impacts to integrated technical solution
Lead technical design efforts
Perform system configuration
Validate solution technical design to business requirements to ensure design supports business benefits
Identify data interactions between systems
Work with developers to transition technical designs
Support IT service providers in the delivery lifecycle process
Assist in master data management
Assist in defining and documenting test scenarios
Organize and participate in application, integration, and user acceptance testing
Participate in issue identification, resolution, and trouble-shooting throughout initiative
Manage system defects found during testing to completion
Confirm SAP configuration and custom development components meet business requirements
Contribute to deployment plans
Help develop, measure, and enable functional and technical production readiness metrics
Participate in gathering, cleansing, and preparing data for production
Provide escalation support to Operations and Asset Management organization
Adhere-to and support IT procedures and guidelines
Risks and issues remediation
Perform day-to-day problem solving
Drive detailed documentation of change requests including benefits and impact on project cost, schedule, and quality
Details Specific to this Job:
At least 8 years of systems analyst experience inlcuding a minimum of 3 full lifecycle SAP implementations
At least 5 years configuration experience with SAP functionality related to asset management including SAP Plant Maintenance (PM), Customer Service (CS), and Materials Management (MM) required
Must have extensive experience with designing and configuring integrated solutions between PM, CS, and MM modules
At least 5 years working with SAP ABAP developers and BASIS teams to provide integrated asset
At least 5 years experience asset management functions such as preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment reliability, facility turnarounds, and materials requirements optimization required
3-5 years integration experience with supply chain functions such as procurement, inventory management, and logistics
Experience with upstream oil and gas business processes preferred
Strong technical skills
Ability to work as a team player across all levels of the organization
Self-starter with the ability to work without daily supervision
Ability to drive consensus among teams
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Skilled in multitasking and providing premium support to business users
Demonstrates the desire and ability to learn and utilize new business applications and technologies
Ability to work with central IT team based in Oklahoma City on ititiatives
Will require occasional travel to field and other corporate Devon sites
