Position Programmer Consultant

Reporting To Product Support Manager
Key Accountabilities
  • Learn the underlying technical architecture of our .Net web applications and be able to analyse change requests and determine the how to accomplish them and the impacts of change
  • Perform coding changes to source code and database design, expertise with stored procedures
  • Understand the intricacies of application performance in a .Net web architecture and be able to design and program high performing well documented code
  • Communicate and build strong relationships with customers and technical team members
  • Continuously identify and initiate opportunities for new functionality of applications
  • Participate in workplace safety, environmentally sound and healthy behaviours and objectives at all times in support if Toromont’s Health and Safety Policy/ Programs and best practices
Key Qualifications
  • Post Secondary Education with a focus in technology and 5 years experience in producing ASP.NET based Web applications using Microsoft development tools in MS environment
  • Must have solid experience programming in C# ASP.NET and with HTML and DHTML, Javascript or VBScript
  • Strong knowledge of with Transact-SQL (MS SQL Server) and be a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MSCD)
  • Customer centric with excellent relationship management, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self motivated, team player with attention to detail, strong initiative and strong analytical skills
  • Able to manage often changing and competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
