Cement Operator

Responsibilities:

• Ensures all Workplace Safety, Environmental and National Safety Code Policies and Regulations are being adhered to
• Frequently operates large vehicles over all outdoor terrain and conditions
• Participates in the investigation of incidents
• Attends pre-job safety meeting on location
• Establishes and maintains effective communication with colleagues
• Inspects and properly configures all equipment
• Performs rig-up (assembly) of all equipment for travel
• Performs rig-out (disassembly) of all equipment for travel
• Performs maintenance operations to units and auxiliary equipment
• Confers with supervisor and crew on any operational deficiencies
• Completes required paperwork (logbooks, 300 hr service, pre/post trips)

Experience & Skills:

• Valid Class 1 license; will consider Class 3 or 5
• Safe driving skills; fewer than 6 demerit points on driver’s abstract
• Physically fit-heavy lifting required
• Effective interpersonal skills (spoken and written communication)
• High school graduate (preferred)

Working Conditions:

• 15 days on/6 days off
