About the Opportunity
Due to increased workload and expansion, Universal Industries is seeking a Crane Operator - Field to join their growing team in Lloydminster, Alberta.
You will be responsible for operating mobile cranes to lift, move, position or place equipment and materials. You will also perform routine maintenance work and install and remove booms, extensions and hook blocks.
Specifically, you will:
Operate cranes with related attachments;
Determine safe lifting capacities;
Perform pre-operational inspection and calculate crane capacities and weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting;
Direct operational maintenance on assigned equipment;
Install, rig and remove crane attachments;
Operate hydraulic boom;
Operate Cranes, Boom Truck, and Hoist; and
Instruct Apprentices.
To qualify, you must have a Journeyperson Crane Operator Certification or 3rd Year Apprentice. Additionally, you have Red Seal Certification and a minimum of 3 years experience. The capacity to work independently is essential.
