The Drilling and Completions (D&C) team strives to complete our wells economically, by using the best technology to research, develop, evaluate, execute, and communicate our results. We operate with worker safety, regulatory compliance, environmental sensitivities and community engagement at top of mind.  Our D&C team is currently seeking a Senior Drilling Engineer for a permanent opportunity.

Responsibilities:  

• Execute scope of work through high quality planning, technical design, operating practices and cost estimates for vertical, deviated and horizontal wells
• Ensure regulatory requirements and reporting is met.
• Drilling technical focal point for interactions with geology, exploitation & operations area team.
• Investigate new drilling technologies for project implementation. Ability to execute on new ideas and follow through with documented learnings and recommendations.
• Project management of drilling projects - quality control and track performance of safety, cost, schedule, quality.
• Actively review EH&S guidelines and provide leadership role with onsite supervisors and vendors.
• Provide well control and emergency planning response expertise.
• Senior position provides mentorship and technical support to junior technical staff.
• Ability to travel to various field locations.

Qualifications:    

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering is preferred.
• Ten plus years drilling experience with 2-5 years Deep Basin experience preferred
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
• Ability to work in multi-functional results driven team environment and good project management skills.
• Ability to travel to field locations.
