If you like carpentry and enjoy physical work, Fanshawe's Construction Carpentry Techniques program is for you.

Roughly 50% of the time is spent outside the classroom, working on projects and honing your carpentry skills in construction.

You'll develop the manual skills required for general carpentry and construction work - including training in the maintenance and use of small construction equipment and carpentry tools.

You'll also learn how to build and erect concrete formwork and all about structural wood framing used in the construction industry.

When you graduate, you'll have enough construction know-how to work with general contractors involved in the residential sector of the market.

The skills you develop in this course will make it WAY easier to find an employer who will take you on as an apprentice!
