Our Thermal Heavy Oil Development Department is seeking a Leader in Simulation Engineering to lead the Reservoir Simulation Team to develop Thermal Heavy Oil (THO) assets to their greatest potential. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Leader, Thermal Reservoir Simulation.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of Reservoir Simulation Engineers for the THO assets.
- Supervise reservoir simulation engineering responsibilities and reservoir management.
- Provide reservoir operating strategy recommendations to production operations.
- Assist with annual reserve evaluations for all THO.
- Interface with various multi-disciplinary teams to achieve Reservoir Simulation and the Sub-Division's common goal(s).
- Identify projects with the Reservoir Engineering teams and Production teams to optimize production.
- Oversee implementation of data system to capture and report subsurface KPIs.
- Provide input for project design and share lessons learned among all disciplines.
- Documentation and consistency of workflow within the simulation team.
- Identify efficiencies with respect to simulation hardware and software.
- Provide reservoir analysis, management and depletion strategies for all THO assets.

Qualifications:
- Proven leadership skills; ability to mentor and develop a team.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to thrive in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
- Engineering Degree with a minimum of 5-8 years' experience as a Reservoir Engineer.
- Professional Engineering designation from APEGGA is required.
- Experience working with SAGD assets.
- Knowledge of drilling, completions and well equipping operations.
- Solid comprehension of reservoir simulation would be considered an asset.
