Description:
Industrial millwrights install, maintain and repair machinery and tools used by industry. Whether it is mechanical or automated equipment, a millwright will be required to examine, diagnose and perform the work needed to keep a line up and running.
You'll work with hand and power tools as well as welding equipment and you may be required to operate hoisting and lifting devices to perform your work.
Gain hands-on experience through paid co-op opportunities. Students are registered as Industrial Millwright Mechanic apprentices during their placement.
Upon successful completion, students receive a Mechanical Technician diploma and Levels 1, 2 and 3 of the Industrial Millwright Mechanic apprenticeship program.
Mechanical Technician - Apprentice is a two-year Ontario College Diploma Co-op Apprenticeship program.
