Title Estimator - Multi-Discipline
Job Summary
Ledcor’s Industrial Group handles all aspects of heavy industrial construction and is capable in all sizes of projects across a range of sectors, including Energy, Forestry, Mining, Oil and Gas, Manufacturing, and Oil sands work. Services include site development, civil / concrete, structural steel, mechanical, piping, instrumentation, commissioning & start up assistance. Ledcor Industrial performs to the highest safety standards and produces quality results.
 
Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Estimator is responsible for accurately calculating the cost of execution for various scopes of work on the Albian Sands Plant Improvement Team project site.
Responsibilities
  • Review specifications and drawings received from the client
  • Request any clarification or missing documentation
  • Contribute to the formulation of execution plans
  • Risk evaluation in performance of the work
  • Provision of a detailed basis of estimate
Requirements
  • Superintendent with a minimum of 5 years experience
  • Minimum five years experience on Oil Sands Processing sites
  • Working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Basic understanding of estimating
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of trade-related drawings and specifications
  • Experience in construction scheduling
Work Conditions Ledcor offers competitive salaries, health and wellness benefits as well training/professional development opportunities.  This shift follows a 8 days on 6 days off rotation with travel allowance provided.
