Under general supervision, provides data and systems administration for the FM Account. This position is responsible for the design, development, and support of system applications. They are also responsible for pulling data and producing reports from the application.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
Provides data system administration in an operations environment using a variety of programming and Web development tools.
Designs, develops, installs, reports and supports applications that are used at the customer's account.
Consults with users involved determining specific output requirements, such as types of breakouts, degree of data summarization, and formatting for management reports.
Prepares workflow charts and diagrams to specify in detail operations to be performed by equipment and computer programs and operations to be performed by personnel in the system application.
Identifies and resolves applications development problems related to the use of the application software or utilities.
Provides customer support to application users by resolving basic application system problems or contacting the vendor.
Revises JCI company definition of data as defined in the data dictionary such as information about data, including name, description, source of data item, and key words for categorizing and searching for data item descriptions.
Provides cross-functional support at the account by training with other members of the System's Analyst group.
May participate in the rollout and installation of new software and hardware at the account.
Complies with all company policies and procedures as well as adheres to company standards
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience and three to five years of experience with two of those years in programming.
Experience in the primary development and support of business applications in an NT environment.
Enterprise Database experience preferred.
MS certification, Intranet application development and project management experiences a plus.
Demonstrate excellent organization skills, attention to detail, accuracy and documentation skills.
