Responsibilities include troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of distributed control systems with a preference of ABB/Bailey Infi 90 experience. Other responsibilities include troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance on instrumented systems, tuning of control systems, PLC based systems, AutoCad experience is a plus. Knowledge of environmental control systems is preferred.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Perform preventative maintenance procedures on systems and/or equipment as required.
Troubleshoot and repair instrumented systems on an emergency and routine basis.
Modify instruments to improve the performance and/or function of the process.
Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, programming and configuration to the ABB/Bailey Infi 90/PKS distributed control system and PLC based systems.
Use configuration software and/or other tools to troubleshoot or upgrade DCS and PLC program logic's.
Assist coworkers by working on tasks and projects assigned by the supervisor.
Provide maintenance and repair services to support the facilities.
Perform PID loop tuning functions as needed to acquire a stable process.
Use schematic or logic diagrams to diagnose system/equipment malfunctions.
Be central point of contact for GMP customers in buildings serviced.
Create and modify SOP's where required.
Use configuration software and/or other tools to troubleshoot or upgrade PLC systems including system modifications, point additions and deletions and editing AutoCad drawings.
Follow Facilities Good Engineering Practices (GEP) standards.
Maintain, repair and install instrumentation devices including controllers, transmitters, signal conditioners and related equipment.
Occasionally assist at other sites with Honeywell TDC 3000 distributed control system.
On Call 7/24.
Performs other duties as assigned.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Electronics Technical degree (A.A.S.) or equivalent with 3-5 years instrumentation service experience required, pharmaceutical instrumentation/controls a plus.
Knowledge of the ABB/Bailey Infi 90/PKS distributed control system and components
Extensive hands-on knowledge of electronic instrumentation and controls.
Knowledge of Allen Bradley programmable logic controllers.
Personal computer literate.
Basic knowledge of cGMP preferred.
Good team interaction skills.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of HVAC systems and components preferred
