This position is located in Holland, Michigan at the Southview Facility.

Responsibilities
· Performs process and material flow analysis. Develop manufacturing process techniques, and equipment to improve productivity.
· Facilitate ergonomic improvements within facility.
· Project management of MIS, maintenance, and engineering projects ensuring commitment and deadlines are exceeded.
· Facilitate continuous improvements in 5-S within functional areas.
· Provide engineering assistance in quality problem solving activities.
· Oversee equipment modifications and design.
· Perform Tool Prove-out Process, Rheology, Gate Seals, DOE's, and RJG Implementation on tools assigned.
· Respond to production issues as they arise.
· Plans, direct and coordinate manufacturing processes: Develops, evaluates and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, process variables, tooling and production equipment capabilities, process methods, and quality control standards.
· Applies statistical methods and data driven problem solving to supply capable equipment, tools, materials and processes to manufacturing.

Education and/or Experience:
BS in Plastics or Manufacturing Engineering. Tooling and fixture design experience, manufacturing, experience, and automation or robotics experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general pubic.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations, and proportions, to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Responsibility for Costs:
Position oversees costs associated with manufacturing and those opportunities to reduce them.
EDUCATION REQUIRED: B.S. Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Five to eight years experience in processing fields associated with the manufacture of urethane foam or closely related fields.
TRAINING NEED: As deemed necessary to enhance the position and/or to become more effective.
